Nysah Tan recently completed her undergraduate degree in LASALLE College of the Arts, School of Contemporary Music in Singapore. She did her Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music and majored in Electronic Music, actively striving to produce creative works to widen her horizon.

Nysah is also an active member of NADI Singapura Ltd where she thrives in performing the drums and percussion of the Malay archipelago. One of her most notable recent achievements was being part of NADI Singapura’s biggest production which took place at the Esplanade Theatre Hall titled FATIH: The Prince & The Drum on 29 June 2019, directed by Indonesian film director, Mr Garin Nugroho. She performed as a cast ensemble member alongside 40 other bandmates and special guests where they bang drums, sing, dance and act simultaneously.

 

While undergoing the process of finding her niche, Nysah has been exploring her capabilities in music production as well as sound design. Currently, Nysah is obsessed with the handpan and is constantly finding ways to push the performance capabilities of the instrument. She intends to build a career out of education in music technology and percussion, while working on her own music as a solo artist.
